Happy new year, friends!

The holidays looked a little warmer for me than usual… I spent Christmas break back in Indonesia, where I grew up. Lots of family time, some volcanoes climbed, and an all-around good time.

It’s been good to take some time to reset, especially this time of year.

In many ways, these holidays are just arbitrary dates on the calendar… determined by calendars that we’ve simply made up.

But they’re valuable nonetheless - they offer an opportunity to contemplate not only the past year, but the direction we’re headed.

I’ve been absent on here for the past few months.

I took on some of my most ambitious brand projects to date, and that coupled with other aspects of life took attention away from social media and this weekly newsletter.

There are seasons for everything.

But I’ve realized I need to write. Putting words to paper gives me a way of organizing my thoughts, and reminds me of what matters most.

Writing’s just another art form… and the greatest artists are the ones creating for themselves.

In a sense, these newsletters are just me writing to my younger self, hoping to keep some of the things I’ve learned along the way.

And so I’m back to the weekly newsletter.

Every week, for the next 365 days.

Expect the first on Sunday morning :)

This quote has been on my mind a lot over the past few weeks, heading into the start of 2024.

For there are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.

What a blessing to be alive, and to build a life in this crazy world.

Hope you enjoy what’s to come here.

Here’s to a life well lived 🍻
